Facebook: How to Find a Mailing Address

Gethuman volunteers are obsessed with finding customer service options for Facebook. On a daily basis we receive a lot of requests asking for assistance in contacting Facebook. While it's not a huge development, Gethuman was able to find a mailing address for Facebook. You may write to the company at:
1601 S. California Avenue,
Palo Alto,
CA 94304.

The address was discovered when volunteers were tipped off about a valuable, but often overlooked customer tool; the privacy policy. Any website that collects data from its users is legally required to present a privacy policy, and all privacy policies must display a physical address to send mail to. It is important to note that the address provided by the privacy policy may not be staffed to assist with customer records, transactions, customer service systems, and other customer service resources, but it is one more tool to help you locate and talk with actual humans. Let the Gethuman community know if these addresses help.

Facebook: Surveys Are Not Customer Service

The volunteers at Gethuman are kind of obsessed with Facebook but not for the reason you might think. Facebook claims to have 350 million users yet the social networking site offers very little in customer service to those millions . Gethuman volunteers have spent hours mining for some direct link to Facebook. They've retrieved some pretty good stuff but there is still no "one stop" cheat. So it is of interest to us when Facebook shows some signs of caring about it's users.

Recently Facebook sent users a multiple-choice survey asking how they felt about the sites updated Newsfeeds. What makes this Facebook survey a little different is that possible responses to questions range from "made me feel a lot worse” to “made me feel a lot better". It's an interesting concept that a company be concerned with how a service made a customer feel in addition to if it worked. The problem is Facebook seems to neglect that taking customer's concerns into a account requires more than survey's about <a target="_blank" href="http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/10/23/facebook-merges-highlights-back-into-your-news-feed/>algorithms generating Newsfeeds

Facebook: Getting Closer?

Facebook has finally gotten around to providing customer service to its millions of users, kind of. Facebook recently updated it's Help Center, which includes a new search results page, an improved left-hand navigation bar as well as a “Help Discussions" buttons which shows user-generated discussions on various site features. Each FAQ answer and community discussion thread now comes with it's own unique URL so users can share them easily with others in need.

So if you're looking to get someone from Facebook on the phone it seems that the company is still a long ways from providing such convince, but they're making "progress". Let the Gethuman community know if the new Help Center is a helpful resource or just another way for Facebook to ignore the millions of customers who generate Facebook's value

Facebook rating from customer: 1.0 out of 5: Horrible. Comments from customer: I called the 1300 and 4800 numbers and all I got was a message that there is no phone support and to get the directory push 4. I did and the message loop again and again and so on. No help what so ever. Shame Facebook had a good thing going now because I lost my account or some web glitch plus no really good costomer support, they lost me for a client. I guess it is back to myspace.

Facebook: The Customer Service Challenge

On a daily basis, Gethuman gets a lot of requests for a Facebook phone number for customer service. We searched high and low and cannot find a direct phone number for Facebook. We were able to find a few Facebook e-mail addresses and web pages designed to get you in contact with them and we hear that once you contact the help line they set you up with a temporary phone number to speak with a representative.

Check out the updates on our Facebook Page
When trying to reach Facebook, please try using multiple formats to get in contact with the company and make sure you let us know what works and what does not.

Facebook tip: I had an account and fan page for my Social Media Class that was deactivated.. I had purchased an ad advertising for it a few weeks ago and charged it to my credit card. Apparently Facebook thought my account was fake and deactivated it, resulting in my credit card company closing my account as well, believing my identity was stolen. Now I have nothing to show for 7 weeks of my social media class project and no credit card account. Sent Facebook a message a week ago, but still no response. If this doesn't change, I'm having my university contact them. Thanks a lot Facebook....

I wonder how long it will take to get an answer. If this is the way they treat people, it's no wonder they don't have a way to contact them. They would be bombarded with calls.

Facebook users angry over account shutdown problems

The gethuman community and the Internet at large have been expressing extreme dissatisfaction with social networking giant Facebook in recent days. The complaint: no access to Facebook accounts, and no further information from the company.

For a long time now, we've had very little to list in the way of Facebook customer support here on gethuman. The company does not actually have a phone number for users to call. Instead, it relies on all inquiries going through email. And while email has its place in the world of communication, users are becoming increasingly agitated that they can't speak to a person at Facebook. In addition to holding their contacts, conversations and other valuable information, users talk about Facebook acting as their job networking base while job searching.

The gethuman community would like to see Facebook take communication with its users more seriously. Not only because users often have very valuable input for an operation of that size, but also because users depend heavily on their Facebook accounts these days.

After all, isn't this a social networking platform? Or do we need to start calling Facebook the "anti-social networking platform"?
